Have you experienced any form of trauma in your life? Are you susceptible to depression, anxiety, or sudden angry outbursts? Do you feel isolated, confused, and disconnected from the world? These are all indicative symptoms of PTSD.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder doesn’t exclusively impact the armed forces; emergency services personnel and frontline medical staff are also susceptible to developing PTSD. Even if you’re not employed within these public services, anyone who undergoes a traumatic event may potentially develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. If you are struggling to cope with PTSD and recognize these symptoms or have received a PTSD diagnosis from a medical professional, please reach out. It’s possible to overcome PTSD. You CAN survive PTSD.

The first stage in the journey is a free discovery session. This session is where we meet, face to face over Zoom, for the first time. During this meeting, we will get to know each other. I will ask you lots of questions about your background and about the issues you are experiencing. You can share as much or as little information as you feel comfortable. Obviously the more you share with me, the more detailed the picture I have of you becomes. You are welcome to ask me any questions that come to mind. At the end of the discovery session, if we are both happy, we will agree on a date and time to begin the course.
The second session marks the beginning of a six-session course aimed at removing the negative emotions and behaviours associated with your PTSD. Ideally, each session will take place over Zoom on the same day at the same time, each week for six weeks. Each session will last approximately one hour. Each session will start with a brief catch-up followed by a session of hypnosis.
CATCH is a grouping of elite clinical hypnotherapists who have the methods to eliminate PTSD.
PTSD is not a life sentence! It is a subconscious injury, which requires a subconscious therapy! Clinical hypnotherapy has been used for more than a century to successfully eliminate crippling PTSD symptoms, no matter how chronic.
Emotional trauma/moral injury is the cause of PTSD. Multiple or prolonged trauma leads to Complex PTSD, which is when so many sufferers are told they are “too broken to treat”. This is simply not true. Clinical hypnotherapy can give a PTSD sufferer their life back, in weeks, no matter how long they have been struggling. It is a gentle, deeply relaxing, therapy does not require endless talking.
The cost of each session is £60. This is payable in advance of each session. Payment is made into the therapy practice PayPal account using the details provided to you. Other methods of payment can be arranged upon request.
In order for the session to be carried out over the internet using Zoom (internet chat) the client must have access to the following technology;
A laptop, PC, Chromebook, tablet ot smartphone
Access to the internet
A valid email address or messenger account to receive communication including the Zoom link for therapy sessions.
Access to a web browser e.g. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome
A webcam (either built into the device or connected to the device).
Headphones or speakers
Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, imagination and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance. The person’s attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person becomes unimportant; In this naturally occurring state, a person may focus their attention — with the help of the therapist — on specific thoughts or tasks.
The therapist collaborates with the client’s unconscious mind , working together to find an agreeable solution to a problem. The therapist and the client’s unconscious mind explore ways to make positive and lasting change. Strategies are agreed and acted upon at an unconscious level.
Derek Heron is the owner and facilitator at SurvivePTSD. He has a vast array of tools at his disposal to gently and safely guide the client through the process of change. All that is required of the client is to listen or use their imagination under Derek’s guidance.
