Hypnotherapy uses guided relaxation, imagination and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness that is sometimes called a trance. The person’s attention is so focused while in this state that anything going on around the person becomes unimportant; In this naturally occurring state, a person may focus their attention — with the help of the therapist — on specific thoughts or tasks.
The therapist collaborates with the client’s unconscious mind , working together to find an agreeable solution to a problem. The therapist and the client’s unconscious mind explore ways to make positive and lasting change. Strategies are agreed and acted upon at an unconscious level.
Derek Heron is the owner and facilitator at Cognitive Cure Hypnotherapy. He has a vast array of tools at his disposal to gently and safely guide the client through the process of change.
